The objective of this Microsoft campaign was to promote and raise awareness of the range, benefits and capabilities of Microsoft software with a particular emphasis on One Note.
Our Microsoft Educators promoted the great savings offer on the Office Professional software package available, where students could save anywhere up to 80% off.
The promotion took place across eight campuses throughout March 2011. We revisited some of the colleges in which we had a high level of interest from the previous Microsoft-Sony campaign (Dec 2010). The decision was also made to visit two University of Ulster campuses to further strengthen the campaign.
The Microsoft Campaign was a clear success. Students on all campuses responded positively to the software and were very impressed with the hugely discounted offer.
It was clear to see that the last Microsoft- Sony promotion had an impact on the campuses already visited, so in revisiting with purely a Microsoft campaign really helped to enforce the message. In speaking with students, it is obvious that One Note is a product that students should have and would like to have, it was simply a matter of continuing to boost awareness and educating the students on the different uses.
