The objective of the myhome.ie on-campus promotion was to create awareness of it’s rental property offering amongst the student population, and also to highlight the RTE Fade Street Sponsorship association with myhome.ie.
The myhome.ie team would travel to four major campuses in the Dublin area promoting the myhome.ie brand and driving students onto the myhome website.
This activity would build on the previous activity carried out in these campuses during the product sampling in the Oxygen Goody bags in semester one of last year.
As myhome.ie were then sponsoring Fade Street and the promotion was to tie in with this activity.
In keeping with that line, we decided to bring a ‘college vintage style’ living room set along with it’s four housemates, our reps, to the four colleges listed below.
• UCD
• DCU
• DIT Aungier St
• DIT Kevin St.
The students were invited to chill out and watch Fade Street and eat some sweets in the myhome.ie living room, while the branded myhome reps informed them of the amazing 1,000 cash prize giveaway, as well as additional fantastic spot prizes which were on view.
The reps directed the students to the two laptops on site, so students could enter the competition on the myhome.ie site there and then!
In addition, the reps handed out the myhome.ie business cards with the competition entry details which would further drive students to the site.
The Result:
We recruited 1914 competition entries (students data collected for and on behalf on myhome.ie) across the 4 days.
This was primarily an awareness campaign whereby students would come to know the myhome.ie website and all its features. The originality of the set, along with the eager housemates attracted students to the the myhome.ie site creating maximum awareness for the brand.
With the work of the Oxygen Team we raised awareness of the myhome.ie rental website across the 4 selected campuses.
